Subject	Can clutch/ brake booster hoses be re routed, or modified?

Message	I was going to replace my old hoses, and thought I could cut and route the new hose in a neater and less complicated arrangement. As long as the check valves are in place, Is there any reason the air path needs to be as long as it is, or in that stock path?
